Haiku-forms While Visiting San Francisco by Ronald A PavellasSaint Francis' namesake
Monument to concrete wealth
Glass and rock towers
The Bay yet abides
Glimpsed through canyons now so far
Do we really see?
Twin Peaks no longer
Breasts of Indian virgin
Now girt by structures
Yet the fresh breezes
Bring images and feelings
Of old friends and joys 01/31/2005 Author's Note: Written 18 September 1997 upon a visit to my home town.
