Haiku-forms While Visiting San Francisco

by Ronald A Pavellas

Saint Francis' namesake
Monument to concrete wealth
Glass and rock towers

The Bay yet abides
Glimpsed through canyons now so far
Do we really see?

Twin Peaks no longer
Breasts of Indian virgin
Now girt by structures

Yet the fresh breezes
Bring images and feelings
Of old friends and joys
