Missing the Missing

by Matt Forget

Once upon a midnight yonder
There I sit and think and ponder
Of my thoughtless yore.

Where the weather scatters flatter
Worries wonder, peer and matter
Sandless worries wore.

Here I sit and sorry saunter
Weeping past the midnight haunter
Casting over tore.

To where the last night sleepless hightens
Passing down the nearest frightens
Kissing silence by the door.
