The Pen of Emily Bronte

by Julie Adams

as I read her words
Bronte's punctuation
punctures thoughts
into runaway balloons

sending my thoughts
on voyages
like luggage, they materialize

into matter, of mind
fact, thought, being, on paper.

Author's Note: Originally this was posted to my journal on 12/27/04, but it was suggested to be moved to my poetry archive, so that is what I have done. But I am always editing so it has changes somewhat. Do Enjoy!
