Lit up from the lighted stage
Or is it who I am suppose to be
A poet with a message

Was it a dream?
Or was it my reality
Alluded to but masked
By the haze of the drugs

Who am I?
Or this is who I am
Or am I what I am supposed to be?
Do you care, do I care
Who gives a fuck?
Who wants to fuck?

Am I a symbol?
Am I the word?
Or am I what I want to be
And not who I am
Who the fuck am I
Am I you
Are you me?
Is he a she or is she a he
What the fuck

This is who I am
The one
The one who is
The one who is wondering
Who the fuck he is

Author's Note: this was my first piece of trying to write "slam" poetry...it did well and got alot of favorable points...however...LOL...I no longer try to write slam poetry...nor do I use the language as I did in this one...but still...it is one that I am asked frequently to perform...oh the dilemma
