reality....what a concept
but being real today in society is not a quality many seek

what is being real?

real is about...
being naked with our feelings and emotions with others and not being afraid to be so

it's being comfortable within our own skin

I mean it's about laying all your cards upon the table...and not walking away

real...it's what reality is all about

but many times we're caught up in this dance of drama pretending to be this when we're really that

pretend dressing-dressing up and playing out a role we are not with others leaving them with an illusion that shatters...
truth
lives
compassion
and disintegrates reality

shit for the most part movies are more real than our own private lives

our pretending is just an illusion we've gotten lost within

swirl around backwards...turn back the pages to our beginnings...our real life

be real...be you

say and mean and live your life as it is and not some illusion it's become

when we are not real we mislead, we mess up peoples lives, we spin illusions that others get trapped within
and it shows we do not care

care enough about others to be real
care enough about your own life to be real
care enough about breaking illusions and becoming real

I am gay
I am single
I live
I exist
I am alive
I'm an artist
a poet
a person
a soul
a human being

and yes
at times I hurt, cry and confused trying to make sense in determining if it's real or an illusion

but

I'm real

are you real?
do we know how to be real in this life of illusions?
what is real?
do we want to be real?

really

I desire to be real...does anyone else?
