Innocence Lost

by Tota Longmire

I stand before him,
Clothed fully by my innocence.
As I begin to undress,
To reveal my innermost being
He turns from me in shame
He refuses my gift

He began my education
Taught me to let down my hair
How dare he refuse?
Turn from the fruits of his actions?
By turning in shame
He refuses my gift, refuses me

Embarrassed by his shame
I try to re-cloak myself
Hide in feigned innocence
The act is false, see-through
Damn him.

Tota, I don't know if our experiences are the same, but it sure sounds like it. Good work and yes...Damn him. ;-) ~Chelle~
