Innocence Lost by Tota LongmireI stand before him,
Clothed fully by my innocence.
As I begin to undress,
To reveal my innermost being
He turns from me in shame
He refuses my gift
He began my education
Taught me to let down my hair
How dare he refuse?
Turn from the fruits of his actions?
By turning in shame
He refuses my gift, refuses me
Embarrassed by his shame
I try to re-cloak myself
Hide in feigned innocence
The act is false, see-through
Damn him. 01/23/2005 Author's Note: Dedicated to the one who I let see my soul, the same one that left with little more than a good bye.
