Desperate to Forget by Shonda Chrissonberryyou gave me
bottled up promises
broken by your lies
left me shivering
in my soul
longing for a peace
you are not worthy
of these tears
washing my dreams away
nor the satisfaction
of my wounded life
trying to pick up the pieces
sometimes
I wonder if you realized
how tenderly I let you
walk upon my heart
teasing me
with a false love
playing
catch me if you can
now tell me...
How do I make this all just disappear? 01/20/2005 Author's Note: for Chris Sumter

Posted by Ava Blu on 01/21/05 at 04:37 AM Ouch. These wounds I know too well.
They do heal....just takes more time than we like to allow. |
