Topic: Some Semblance of Sanity

by Melina Raven Maness Diebold

Some semblance of sanity

left me languid on the loose

sold my soul for some sasparilla

and loaned my love for Lady Luck

So soon I shall aschew all shame

and let my loneliness leak away

to save my sanity and savor it's stain

left lacquered on my lips in pain
