A FALLEN STAR by Phil WallingA FALLEN STAR
Floating on a shakey stream
We sit right back and dream
Down the well we find ourselves
Peaceful and serene
Holding hands we call the man
To take us back to sea -
Forgetting that we are one
We spread about the knees
Then a fallen star
Comes to me
I empty the sea
In the night afar
Some sort of mystery
Why don't we see -
One thing I'm sure of
Is life after breath
Never a notion that
There was no death.
Sorting out the means
Will take another day
Why don't we just be seen?
Inside our special way
Where life is but a dream
Some feeling that we stay
An edge of sunken fears
For love another day
In the night afar
There cries another star.
