THE BEAST AMONG US WALKS AGAIN

by Phil Walling

THE BEAST AMONG US WALKS AGAIN

The beast among us walks again
He transcends life to a different blend
He makes the sane man quite insane
Lifts the spirit into a foggy den
Twisting goblins out of sight
Around the circle a virgin plight
A tired muse with a tired might
And through the wicked comes a fright
Creeping slowly a sudden night
Hurling metal bends the right
When I come to you, take me slow
Hold me close, don't let me go.
