Wandering

by Thomas K. Hunt

Night
Falls cold and alone
Lending it's chill to my bones

Darkness
Covers me in shadows
Down here where sorrow grows

Rain
Dances on the street
Black puddles prune my swollen feet

Lost to the world
Lost inside
Lost to my love
No place to hide
Still I walk through the night
On my way to nowhere
Searching for the unknown
Seeking the everlasting eluding comfort
Held by multitudes
Foreign to my soul

Sunshine
Leaves me empty and cold
Without my life to hold

I enjoyed the prune line a lot; this is very song like.

Yes, from no where to no where. But then we are not lost. this realization is painful but we are face to face. We can draw splace from this pain. The proof of our being alive. I do identify with this piece.
