CRYSTAL GAZING (to AF)

by Phil Walling

CRYSTAL GAZING (to A.F.)

Though the mask,
will hide

Peace consumates within war
Reality martyrs,
pass in stride
--- desolation leads us far . . .

Antagonist, Procrastinist,
et toi . . . mon vieux

Fear approaches
Mourning state,
ask me for feu

We met not by chance,
by fate...

Oh ripple of decadence,
shine through empty space

Heed your knowledge
Know no disgrace ---

Even if
the past comes to call
egotism saves your fall

Shallow, tallow, deep and widened
Funerals, marriages, contracts sound,
light - like . . .

Fragile, frightened, forerunner,
seer of evil.

Resting destiny - laughter,
I laugh, I cry . . .

What fortune, what path
What truth,
is not a lie?

--------------------

Peace

Interesting piece. I shall have to read it over and over to let it all sink in. I like it when it happens that way. Welcome to Pathetic. What an awesome way to start a new year. :)

I enjoyed the philosophy in this poem. Good work, Phil. You add a wonderful dimension to pathetic.
