Cranium-Distilled Disruption by Tom Goss
You wake to
see yourself
standing above you
haze of subconscious drip
projects into your
disjointed stare
before the answers
are whispered
from you to you
your wife wakes
and screams in terror
later she cannot
recall both of you
only the shrieking
dislocation of the room
and the stillness
of your eyes

Posted by Leslie Ann Eisenberg on 01/03/05 at 04:05 AM awesome title, i got chills of anticipation before i even read it. love the opening shot, of the out of body experience. "before the answers are whispered from you to you" is my favorite line, but altogether this a tight and potent piece of terror. |
