Shore of Depression by Tota LongmireWalking on an unknown beach,
Waves of confusion hit my feet.
Try to pull me out to sea,
Out to the depression deep.
Ive been in the ocean,
Ive drowned there before.
This beach is different.
The familiar ocean calls me.
Ive survived the depression.
Though it was odious,
At least it is familiar, known.
The waves of confusion grow. 12/30/2004 Posted on 12/30/2004 Copyright © 2024 Tota Longmire
