Illusion Confusion

by Charles E Minshall

After you read this
I fear retribution,
Please don't hit
I wish no contusion.
Do pardon my intrusion
But I have reached
This conclusion.
Many things of beauty
Are but illusion.
Dare I to write
Of fusion collusion?
H-m-m, that brings on
Considerable confusion.
And to my great delusion
I have found no solution.
I guess I'll resist
That compulsion,
I would rather not risk
My expulsion.
