A Deadly Sin

by Ava Blu

I was never sure whether you knew or not
I thought maybe I had gotten away with it
But then I saw the look in your eyes
You knew
Sometimes we do things just because no one can see into us
Sometimes we ignore simply based on beauty
Truth is, I thought I would never get away
I knew you would find me
But I must run anyway
I am clearly in my own now
Do not think me unconscious of what I am doing
Someday you will understand the hopelessness of your life
There was no way to prepare for the inevitable
I could just kill you
Then there’s nothing else for me to lose
Don’t pretend you care
Don’t fucking pretend that you’re blind
You knew
Don’t cry now dear
It’s too fucking late for that
You will feel everyone
Their pain is yours
Let’s just run away
Let’s just forgive
But you knew I could never do that
This is my ending and you will be the next beginning
We have to take care of only what we are responsible for
Please, just succumb to the truth
Lies and truth
That’s all we have now

I knew I would find you here.

This piece is full of such raw emotion, and utter defeat..to this person that is nameless to me. Very nice work.. very effective
