Confusion

by Ava Blu

Though my soul may be dead
Your heart is still frozen
And only I can melt you away
When your eyes close
And you can picture a grey sky
With a hint of red lightening
Those streaks are me
I’m here to tear through your clouds
I won’t stop until I reach my destination
I won’t give in until I’ve begun
And I haven’t truly begun yet you see
What else is it you want me to be?
Because I am only here for you
In essence, you could mold me
But perhaps confusion is stopping you
Perhaps something holds us back
Remember the streaks?
They’re slowly fading away

I never said I would melt you

I only said that I could.

Great imagery here, with strong bullets of emotion within each line; it flows very well.
