clouds in clouds by Ginette T Bellemellow out my dear
listen to your heart, bleeding from the inside
do you know what this means?
the latin layered all over his skin
flaking on my eyelashes
i blink and it still makes no sense
i've been to iceland
where the wind bites and intrigues
ice water rapid beneath the surface
and i shake and shiver in ecstasy
as it pulls me under, deep to drown
i've been to africa
where the heat soothes and warms me
floating in a constant state
safe and distant
the pressure of the air pushing at my lungs
it all ends up here
in my bed beside me
eye lids shut in an open mind
and i long for the mystery of finite
but i keep drawing in
the simplicity and practicality

Posted by Max Bouillet on 01/20/05 at 01:17 AM The geography of relationships is mapped so well with your words. Poet or cartographer? Either way it doesn't matter... I love the way you're leading me. Great read. |
