They won't last six months.(Three kids, 21 years later)

by John D Uzzell

I see the people next door
They are fighting everyday.
Thinking of how life was then
Was this our only way?

Did I make it seem like this?
Was it what we wanted then?
How would I know what you were thinking?
Long ago, the time we spent.

Its come out now, where we use to be
And the world is welcome to see
We walk right out and in front of everyone
Check this out, it's going to be fun

Look at me; I dare you to even speak
I'll show you what we are today
Twenty years after, said six months at the most
Second grandchild on the way

If you want to see and learn how to make it right
We'll tell you how to make it last
Fight like hell, defy what they think
Then leave it all in the past.

(to be continued)
