i heard your beating heart
it was singing a tune i thought i knew
i jumped out of bed to chase the sound
you were no where to be found
the tune lived on inside my head
i tossed and turned
trying to make you leave
it was too late for me
the song had me intrigued
i had to let you control my thoughts
i had to let you play your song
because i couldn't fight what i knew was my demise
your heart sang me to insanity
while i whispered your name
my mind became twisted
i woke up
singing your tune
as the nurse brought me my pills for the day
you drove me here
but at night i swear
i see you dancing outside my dreams
