Dripping by Ava Bluliving on my own but not alone
I doubt my sight
this life consumes my reality
but it's not really mine
it's something I was told to believe
a script I had to follow
now I make a 180 degree turn
right into the dream I was never meant to have
my lips are curling to form
the most ambiguous smile
see my teeth as I bite through your walls
- as my tongue slips through your heart's backdoor
I am devouring the criminal that resides inside your soul
you told me I wouldn't see you
- that's only because your hands cover my eyes
I thought you'd never hear me
- but now your ears are against my chest
too close - I must withdraw my offer
walking away
I now make a 360 degree turn
see your body, back there
lying in that ditch
there is your criminal
that I was unable to bear
perhaps now your spine will become straight again.
