Adieu

by Christopher Shin

I remember myself
as if it was but a
heart beat away,
and I really never understood
it when people say that
their youth was gone
like yesterday.

Time goes and life
seems to be just a rumor
of past innuendos.
Love and friendships
burn away with ashes
that flutter in the wind.

I don't know when my friends
and my enemies became a blurred
line that I can not tell the
difference between the double
lines.

Yet I know one thing is that
I miss the late night talks,
and the all night coffee.
Your gone and I'm left to
remain.

So I'll stumble with
blurred names and remembrance.
I remember you as if it
was yesterday.

I remember the darkness,
and the lyrics of meloncholy.
I'll remember the sad moments,
and the joyest moments of triumpant.
I'll drink another drink,
and wonder if you are dead.

Yet I'm older and gray is
an ally I know to well.
Yet you'll only say much
ado to nothing.

So let's end it now for
I need my rest and the scars
of my past are but scabs,
and pieces of May.
