Alright.

by Kalikala Smith

I am hurting inside from I don't know where
and its cold outside but I don't care
as I sit by my keyboard and bang out a rusty tune.
There's a million things that I should be doing right now
like paying the rent, well I'm make it somehow
maybe selling this old rusty tune.
I don't need to sit here
all by myself
waiting for change to happen
on its own.
And its a lie
that I'm alright
that everything's fine
without you...

Say, that you want to save me
hold me, and never let me go.
Say, that you need to save me
or please, just let me go.

I wait for you call but you're not there
secretly curse you but that's not fair
the static reminds me, I'm afraid of silence.
I wish you were here to calm my fears
make me believe there's nothing near
to cause my mind such violence.
And I've been a fool
to blame anyone but myself
for all the stupid little things
that I do.
And its a lie
oh its a lie
that I'm alright
that everything's fine
without you...

So Say, that you want to save me
hold me, and never let me go.
Say, that you need to save me
or please, just let me go.

ooo, i like! for a title, i would suggest maybe "lie" or something along those lines b/c you keep coming back to that internal vs. external struggle to say what you're really feeling... i don't know, good work on the song! i hope i can hear a tune sometime :)
