we ate all of the words by Olivia Weinkeinlover, you are dark and everything i wanted once,
biting my nails to keep you from seeing my face
and the leaves are falling and i am talking about
nothing just to make you stay a tad bit longer.
this is poetry in its most tasteless form, writing words
just to keep you with. locked in tight and when i smile
and say everything will be alright i don't mean you.
and no, i don't need you to love me.
it's been so long since i could look at something and see
it for what it really is and the wind is no different, the sky
and you. we break things when we stumble around in the
dark and i never meant to flail my arms but i was flying or
i was trying. and no, you don't have to love me anymore.
there is something about this, lover, that will never be quite
right. i am searching for sounds with deaf ears, my eyes
falling on your lips only to find them
still not moving.
