cure this walking corpse

by Kimberly Bare

caress
these numb
appendages

force
a flow of fire
through these
veins
until a spark of recognition
is recieved
and a former consciousness
revisited

engulf
this fevered mind
with a barrage of foolishness
to create a
crinkling of armor
a chance at revely
once known

take this hollowed
non-rememberance
and fill it to overflowing
with the liquidheat of love

only then can this corpse be cured
