revolution with horns and guitar riffs

by Emily G Myers

The music ran through me
Like water under a bridge
But the words stayed
They took root in my brain
Eventually they blossomed
The flowers of truth
My body quivered and shook
Reality came upon me -
Expliotation, injustice, lies
Why had I never noticed it before?
So truth broke through
Tearing up years of complacency
Manifesting rage I never knew I had
I felt uninterrupted motivation
Thoughts of doubt flowed down -
Can one voice make a difference?
They say it can, but does it?
Does anyone listen to a one man revolution?
But then I realized that I'm not alone
There is a worldwide revolution
A movement I had never seen
But one song revealed it to me
And they say music isn't powerful...
