inferences by Emily G MyersI think too deeply
I infer too much
he said my hair was pretty
he lightly touched the strands
my eyes were attached to his-
two raging blue oceans,
slamming together and becoming calm
I want too intently
I expect too much
he said my words were intriguing
he spoke them so softly, clearly
my ears grasped for his voice
words that I created,
made perfect because he cared
I live too cautiously
I deny too much
he said I was meant to be his
he connected to my very soul
my heart was afraid and cowered
so many imaginary fears,
holding me back, keeping me alone
I think too deeply
I want too intently
I live too cautiously 01/12/2001 Author's Note: about Dan. don't laugh.
