You Weren't There for Me by Megan LangleyWas I just convenient?
A topic of a show-off conversation.
It seems funny how you didn't
Mention me to the girl you claimed you didn't know.
At the time I was laughin',
But you didn't pick me up, no nooo...
When I fell on the ground,
I turned around but you weren't there for meee...
But at least you respected
The precious boundaries that I had set for you.
Wait, no, I take that back,
You were the one who set the limits for me.
At the time I was laughin',
But you didn't lift me off the floor.
As I cried for you to help me,
I turned around but you weren't there for meee...
But I would never trade it,
Those moments lying there within your arms.
Even the crazy late night talks,
Though neither of us can recall much of anything.
At the time I was laughin',
But you didn't pick me up, no nooo...
When I fell on the ground,
I turned around but you weren't there for meee...
I was laughin',
I was cryin',
But you weren't there for meee...
You weren't there for meee...

Great write and song. It has it's own beauty and sadness too. I know that feeling,
You weren't There For Me. I'd like to hear the music to it. |
