Vortex (Supermassive Blackhole Theory)

by Vikki Owens

This vortex,
supermassive,
nebulous and sinking, I have pulled
my own weight.

Here the Sigmus is sonic,
logarithmic, I have moved far
too fast in this
empty vastness,
consumed and created my own
exponential Quasar
and pushed all the stars away.

My devastation is a variable of my creation.
Leave me with my quiet monster.

Author's Note: the sigmus is a band of stars that are on the farthest edges of galaxies. the speed of those stars directly correlates with the size of the black hole in the center, leaving scientists to conlude that far from DESTROYING galaxies, black holes aid in creating them.

Vikki, this is supersonic! I love the last 2 lines. I have a thing for "astronomy" poetry. :)
