THE

We snuck out the back door, and gently eased the screen closed. Moisture in the wind keeps the nights warm around here.

At first we tiptoe, cool grass brushing our naked feet, but once to the moonlit woods, break into a run, hands loosely entwined, shadows following closely behind. Broken beams light the way...

Suddenly
A lunar diamond embedded in crystal waters greets our love-hungry eyes.

Like children, we throw off our disguises, leaping unprotected into nature's pool.

Icy, but with a biting freshness to it, the pond drives us into each other's arms. And there we remain, chests barely afloat, shoulders glistening in the white glow of purity

Clenched in a suffocating embrace
Our hearts pound together with passion
Our fingertips trace circles on flesh beneath the gentle ripples

And then the inevitable
The sweet surrender, of

THE kiss...

Author's Note: I feel a bit shaky on it. I would appreciate any criticism. Especially concerning the title, I was going for a one word title that is not overly used or like a cliche...help!

The title doesn't grab me the way the poem does. "A lunar diamond embedded in crystal waters greets our love-hungry eyes." Hot!

I like this one. It really "feels."
