Days go by by Scott Cadence
Arms out-stretched
frame and lungs are open
I am free in so many ways
and somehow still a slave
to the thoughts of you
It was fleeting -
the illusion of control,
all my reasons are just a peace of mind
to make sure I sleep at night
But the truth is
strangers are only strangers for seconds
before they find that reflection of need
moving across the iris
The chemistry
already in place
causes the serotonine to flow -
and the emotions we attach,
there is no use fighting
Bodies will find their own art
in a moving photography across the bedroom
to internal soundtracks of the heart
you'll sing together
And that scene seems eternal
though days go by
and the sun has risen and set many times
on this moment that is you
I only wish I could stop
every moment after it
from chasing...

Posted by Ashok Sharda on 10/13/04 at 05:11 PM bound so thick with the association, that 'the chemistry (is) already in place', so thick, that the association seems to STOP since ' that scene seems eternal
though days go by
and the sun has risen and set many times'. Control? Well, its just an illusion. This is beautiful.
