The Space You Left by Trisha De GraciaI lie alone now.
Ripe with worry
my belly wound around itself.
I curled
fetal
shaking
trying to dam my eyes
with sheets stained white.
And I could swear
that you were there
screaming out your little lungs
and beating at the insides
of the girl who prayed
for your inexistance-
choking on the blood we shared.
But you were never there.
