Like a Phoenix by Trisha De GraciaWe love like phoenix fire
Blazing summer trails with passion.
Timeless, endless love
to age and somewhat ail in fall...
The calm before a winter storm
and drama drenched catastophe,
We live as burnt birch skeletons
all stripped and barely wick.
Then,
without the slightest hitch
spring cultivates our ashes.
We're born
devout adherence clinging dogged
to our wings. 09/22/2004 Posted on 09/22/2004 Copyright © 2025 Trisha De Gracia

Posted by Max Bouillet on 09/26/04 at 03:59 AM Amazing how our emotions and interactions with others mimic the cyclic seasons. Wonderful verse that shows a little more about being human than we generally like to admit. |
