Sinking....(Step Two)

by Deanna M Gritsonis

I wish I could scream
GET OUT OF ME
Let these feelings melt off
These days pass so strange
Like the bomb hasnÂ’t dropped yet

I am not special
Remember that
I am just me
And no where in my name is that word
I canÂ’t fix you

I want to run
My green eyes are deadly
I shouldnÂ’t look anymore
Let the tears fall
For something needs to

I wonÂ’t break or budge
So let them roll down
There is no key to my inside
No pass to ride for free
ItÂ’s a club with no members but me

Is it the plague coming?
Or another war
Always one inside
Maybe the melodrama music
Filling my head
Inside the huge headphones

Holding on to something
Your touch?
Comfort?
I canÂ’t juggle
So when the glass breaks
IÂ’ll be gone.
