In the mirror by Alison McKenzieChiseled face
Strength of amazon
Delicate expression of crooked nose
Gentle velvet eyes
Sending kindness
Despairing the atrocities of our world
Soft, clouded arms
Tender touch of mend
Rest your head and renew
Rounded womb of joy and hush
Stalwart legs in
Dancing sojourn
Through mist of merry
Mother of stolen children
Married to heartache of years departed
Elucidated resolution to live
And live in love

Posted by Michelle Angelini on 01/28/05 at 04:50 AM Alison, I feel such pain from your words. I'm glad things have gotten better. Thankfully, we have words to release what won't stay trapped within us. |
