Her Own Reflection In His Face

by Thomas K. Hunt

Her own reflection in his face
In unfamiliar places
That's his, just follow the trace
Could there be two same faces?

Pictures of strange surroundings
Though that's him in the middle there
Ask anyone that knows him
Is that how he wore his hair?

Her own reflection in his face
Now the meaning stands so clear
A new heart that's now in place
She's at peace with why she's here

Shaking hugs held so tight
Shed the truth on what is right
All the joy, the feeling of pride
We have each other deep inside

Though our past is short
It's stored away
In smiling memories
Of loving days

I feel your love
I hope you mine
For now it's here
For all of time

Beautiful images drenched in memories and warm feelings. Great read that entrances the reader as they walk down memory lane.
