The metephor of skin

by Vikki Owens

All the metephores of skin,
a place for secrets, for digging the hooks in,
a canvas for scars and dirt and sin
and open wounds and stitches.

A fabric to be draped and sewn
or a living mantle not woven but grown,
and wrapped around broken hearts
and fragile bone....

...vikki ... that's a succinct preciious piece you've written there ... don't have a fav. line, in all honesty it's because EACH line speaks tomes ... kudos for real ...
