The metephor of skin by Vikki OwensAll the metephores of skin,
a place for secrets, for digging the hooks in,
a canvas for scars and dirt and sin
and open wounds and stitches.
A fabric to be draped and sewn
or a living mantle not woven but grown,
and wrapped around broken hearts
and fragile bone.... 09/17/2004 Posted on 09/17/2004 Copyright © 2026 Vikki Owens
