NOT Words of Expression

by Charlie Morgan

NOT Words of Expression

... the words we use, we spit out so the air can
destroy, twist or maim.
meaning lost on unhearing ears as unheard words
ache to be made into baby toes,
or smiles.

... but we trudge, slog along wishing a life away,
measuring moments in time like they were real
and match them to fit us,
or another.

... lonely as the first baby ever born, are we
not mirrors of our own miseries, others'
too and like them, we're happy
or not.

... lost and lonely but making good time, humanity
takes toll and make the additions and subtractions
that merge the immovable
to the unknowable.

... at length we settle for what was, what is
and is yet to be and nestle our head
warmly into the fold of life's elbow
resting on our hopes.

Thought is a certain energy. Words manifest even more, and action is the biggest display of manifestation of all. It always amazes me that God SPOKE all of the world into existence except for man(kind). For man(kind), He used ACTION, taking the clay and forming us with His own hands. We are endowed with so much more responisibility, I think, because of it. We can affect our surroundings in a much deeper way because of it. My thought is we don't have to settle, we, who are made in His image, can CREATE our existence. Well, we DO create our existence in my opinion, it's simply a matter of recognizing our own role in our own lives.
