like eating a ghost by Lindsay Sandersi can only savor the thought
of your voice because the sound-
waves are too delicate for my ears
to interpret.
i can only feel the breath of your lungs
because the light you reflect is too
effulgent to be completely
comprehended by my
eyes.
i attempt to taste your overwhelming
scent that cannot be received by
my nose & yet the taste buds
on my tongue cannot begin
to perceive you either.
today i try to break you into
pieces like refracted light.
tomorrow i swallow you whole.
