Silhouette scars

by Marlon DeLeon

my words bleed your sorrow
as my tears burn the deepest scars
your eyes pour out the saddest stars
that fill the night's sky
and i, i drown in that sea of darkness
my body becomes cold
as the moon's light caresses my face
your silhouette kisses mine
and your nails dig into skin
while my heart feels every scratch
i bite my lip to hold in my cry
your screams seem to sooth the pain
i cant make myself turn and walk away
for i'll endure your company
just to see you smile
for that is my weakness
