Sigh

by Kate Demeree

There fell to earth a gentle rain…

Warm…soft… and alive

Dropping slowly…and caressing

All of the seeded plain

Behind the rain cloud….

Hid the sun…resting for a while

Nestling in the billowing cotton

Dreaming with a happy smile

The thirsty earth…

Received the rain…and sighed

Itself to life…stretching from it’s

Slumber…opening sleepy eyes…

Looking in wonder….

At the changing skies

Out behind the cloud

Came a happy sun

Shining forth it’s brightness

To dazzle his lovers eyes

Creating a wonderful

Promise…

Painting rainbows

To hear her…

Delighted…

* Sigh *

You've done it again!! What a comforting and pleasing picture you have painted for my mind's eye, so peaceful and serene. I must add this to my favorites list! (((HUGS)))
