Sigh by Kate DemereeThere fell to earth a gentle rain
Warm
soft
and alive
Dropping slowly
and caressing
All of the seeded plain
Behind the rain cloud
.
Hid the sun
resting for a while
Nestling in the billowing cotton
Dreaming with a happy smile
The thirsty earth
Received the rain
and sighed
Itself to life
stretching from its
Slumber
opening sleepy eyes
Looking in wonder
.
At the changing skies
Out behind the cloud
Came a happy sun
Shining forth its brightness
To dazzle his lovers eyes
Creating a wonderful
Promise
Painting rainbows
To hear her
Delighted
