Humanity's Fall

by Anne Engelen

blinded by evil
humanity closed her eyes
needing a miracle

weeping willows
shedding their leaves
green seas of sorrow

Sad and true, and aptly put, Anne.

Something tells me there is more to this laconic poem than meets the eye. Perhaps the marvel sought, hides beneath the proverbial leaves. You've stirred my imagination, Anne...pe4ce

Truly we are beyond help, but perhaps I'm just a pessimist. Beautifully said dear Anne.

Sadly true and succintly said Anne.

I like the second part the best. Mostly because I'm a weeping willow FREAK. I don't really understand how the two parts are connected...but it has my gears turning!

Interesting piece Anne. It's one that is open to the reader to define I think.
