And Who

by James Zealy

And Who gave you the right
To incinerate my ego
Flashing arrogance to all
That is not your belief

And who let your insidious
Snide remarks eat me away
So there is nothing left
But an empty outer shell

And who let events occur
So that Life feels like
A walking hell on earth
While my heart darkens with despair

And who allowed
The self destructive fires
To Breed wickedness and anger
Leaving joy at hede's door

As I look in the mirror
I see the reflection
Of the evil perpetrator
Of my self worth's demise.

Allowances are made, aren't they? We do not have to become what others say they see, and if we decide that what they "see" is truth, we always have the option of remodeling.
