Yesterday

...yesterday was once tomorrow
and but for today would still be,
...so spent in worry is the present
yet yearned-for is more time,
...to do nothing with but pine
away for the tomorrows that
turned into yesterdays
because they came dressed as
todays;
...they pass unrecognized.
