The Letter by Mike LoftisJust lay it there on the table
Ill read it later if Im able
Right now Ive got these tears in my eyes
I never had a chance to say good-bye
or ask her where shes going
or ask her why
I wish I new what I did so wrong
Life is about accepting change
but why cant some things stay the same
Chorus:
I should be holding her
instead of hurting tonight
wondering where shes gone
and praying shes alright
I should be waking up
holding her tight
Then I wouldnt have to read
what she didnt write
V2:
Turn the light out as your leaving
I need some sleep I wont be reading
anything she wrote to me tonight
Some things can wait until tomorrow
Ill dream of her then face my sorrow
Right now I need some time to get myself right
I just cant face her leaving now
I wish I could bring her back somehow
