Microchip Existence

by Amanda Bullington

When I think on my life
I wonder what went wrong
Figured I just didn’t care
So I let my life take an awful turn
Then I thought
'Til I couldn’t think anymore
And I realized...

My life’s imaginary
Closed within the binary
Imaginary lives where imaginary people take control of me

And the password to existence
Is for microchip resistance to cease
The secrets of our lives
Tell us that we’ll sacrifice
What we used to be

Cause our lives are imaginary
We’ve been sealed within the binary
Recreation’s lost its fun
Human faces make us run away…

While the cookies that we ate
Had been processed in a factory
There is worse to come
Even they’ve been won over

Now even cookies are imaginary
Trapped within the binary
Imaginary living with imaginary dining throws itself at me

And the password for existence
Is for microchip resistance to increase

But it never will
It never will

Once we’re stuck with it forever
Hope that someone will remember how life used to be

Back when humans were free

Author's Note: Doesn't anyone realize what life is coming to? Computers? Cell phones? Text messaging? Online schools and dating? Do we even see real people anymore?

I seems that they've been sold a bill of goods, or should we call them bads? Funny how technology creeps up on you, then zaps your energy, right before your very eyes, or would that be a telephoto lens, hehe! Good stuff, Amanda...pe4ce
