The Blue

by J. P. Davies

Beyond a familiar horizon,
lies your imaginary world.

Your world of make believe
makes you believe, doesn't it girl?

Who waits for you there?
Do they love you unconditionally?

Do they love you just a little more,
than the love you get from me?

Well go ahead and dream,
sail away into the blue.
When you feel like coming home,
I'll be waiting here for you.

If there's a place you'd rather be
than here in reality
then I hope your dreams come true.
I still dream that you'll wake up with me.

If you'd rather live in fantasy,
than on the ground that screams your name.

Then I'll just fantasize about you,
are your fantasies to blame?

And if you'd rather dream in color,
than live here in black and white.

Then I'll send you gladly on your way,
and blur my eyes when you take flight.
