the worst kind of malignant by Lindsay Sandersi used to never sleep
& my only tears were from
sensations that tickled me pink.
but now i cant see
black & white
& gray wraps itself around
my room until i forget im not
colorblind.
(youwerewrongbutiamselfish
itisnotbenignitisnotbenign)
[bombarding realizations
coupled with crystalline
memories shatter the rose-
colored glasses that had
fallen to the dirt years ago.
all is near lost-
& the surgeon says go home.]

Posted by Max Bouillet on 09/04/04 at 12:44 PM The use of vision in this piece is handled expertly. "Can't see in black & white", "colorblind", and "rose tinted glasses", all affect the way you see the world and your loss of color. This verse also shows your attempts to place color in your world. Great read that is great to think about. |
