Broken Bones

by Matt Forget

Tainted, battered, broken

My wings have fallen down

Beneath my arms they lay

Crushed and bruised and conquered

For Humpty Dumpty had super glue

To put back his broken pieces

Once together he stood tall again

Learned his lesson the first time.

Where was my lesson learned?

The first time? The last time?

Always another mistake

To drown my re-grown ground

I stand before you as I speak

Where you pry me for my mistakes

Punish me for all of what you should be punished for

Providing so little attention to your own feet

The only words I say to you is watch out

Your paths will fall one day

You will be in the same boat as me

And then you will know who succeeded.

My battered bones are far too broken

To be super glued back together

But I will never let you break another’s bones

When it should have been yours.

Author's Note: This is generally speaking for those people that like to blame other people for their mistakes. I blame my department manager for putting me in the toughest situations because of his unorganization to run a department. I do not and will not tolerate your lack of respect for your associates and I will not tolerate your inability to step up to the plate and stop being a selfish individual who takes pride in blaming other people to make yourself look perfect. Not anymore nut-job! This road is mine. Adios!
