dry

by Laura Doom

Looking back
into my future
I recognise a stranger
and turn away
my flesh and blood
but unrelated.

Lips sealed
I fear no tears
when sick minds
rip through innocence
splitting us
to black and blue.

Intelligence is oh so cool
it freezes space
I might have reserved
for the love of my life
whose spirit lives on
in tasteless clichéd form.

Sister blue, I'm missing you
too much I hear, the heart I lack
will murmur when I'm through
there is no going back.

The relationships we have through blood baffle me. Evolutionarily where does one stop and the other begin? You manipulate time magnificantly in this piece. Thank you for sharing.

please leave it as it is. i think that's all there needs to be under that title because you've encapsulated it all just right.

How do you manage to pull feelings ~I've buried and stuffed away ~from out of my soul? You are boundless in creativity. I can only be endeared all the more.
